Holzhauser’s Bar & Grill – Casual, friendly, solid lunch spot (often busy around noon).

Loutre Market – Groceries + deli. Local favorite fried chicken; easy grab-and-go for riders. Facebook specials posted often.

📍 Treloar (MM 84.4)

Treloar Mercantile (1896) – Historic/cultural exhibits & events.
Treloar Bar & Grill – Classic burgers & cold drinks. (Currently being re-established; check hours.)

📍 Peers (MM 80.1)

Peers Store (1896) – Weekends Apr–Oct. Local snacks, art, drinks, live porch music.

📍 Marthasville (MM 77.7)

KT Caboose – Made-to-order, healthy cyclist fare (shaded seating).
Maverick's Diner – Formerly the Rowdy Rooster
Philly’s Pizza – Big, delicious pies & sandwiches.
Lake Creek Winery – Scenic patio, wine slushies, flatbreads/charcuterie (best Fri–Sun; seasonal hours).

📏 Mileage & Planning (Read this if you navigate by mile markers)

Katy Trail mile markers follow the former MKT Railroad numbers. Because today’s trail sometimes departs from the original rail bed, distances based strictly on mile markers can be off.

Tip: Download/print your route in case cell service is spotty, and build in a little buffer time when you’re planning turn-backs, shuttles, or winery reservations.

Pick up and drop off right at the Mercantile on the Katy Trail.

Deutschheim State Historic Site – Free tours; historic winery cellar murals & 1875 Bacchus cask.
Hermann Farm – Carriage tour with Black Shire horses & Missouri mules.
Self-Guided Walking Tour – Pick up a map at the Visitor Center; pair with Espresso Laine or Stomp’n Grounds.
