Bring the Drama! The Mercantile was a hub for shopping, general groceries, and farming supplies. The second floor also hosted town halls, dining, and entertainment on the theatre stage. The theatre has been re-purposed into a beautiful and functional suite.

The Depot Suite
1895 brought us the Katy. The railroad started building its own mainline across the state of Missouri. McKittrick Township was born, followed shortly after by this Mercantile circa 1897.
It was a golden era of leisure travel and tourism from Texas to St. Louis, and it promoted the communities they served
as valuable sites for new industries.
