HOW DO YOU OPERATE?
​
We offer short-term rentals, and if you book directly through our website, you won't have to pay any extra platform fees! You can also find us on popular platforms like Airbnb, VRBO, Expedia, Booking.com, and Trip Advisor. Our stay is private and self-service, with easy self-check-in and check-out. It's important to know that we're not a bed and breakfast, and we don't provide hotel services or have regular staff on-site.

HOW DO I CHECK IN and GET AROUND THE SUITE AND BUILDING?

You will need your "Guest Password" sent to you via text and email. (If you need help, call 573-539-8091.) WHAT AMENITIES DO YOU HAVE FOR KATY TRAIL GUESTS?
​
We are adjoined to the Katy Trailhead at mile marker 100.8, and we are thrilled to offer amenities tailored just for Katy Trail riders! Our Barn Shed provides a secure, outdoor/indoor, and street-level space equipped with bike racks, a repair area stocked with tools, and a dedicated washing area. Each suite also features its own laundry units, and we even throw in complimentary beer in the fridge for a well-deserved post-ride treat. Outside, you'll find a cozy gathering area on the patio, complete with a hose for rinsing off after a muddy ride. Simply let us know when you make your reservation that you'll need bike storage, and we'll send you the access information within a day of your stay. Learn more on our Katy Trail Rider page. DO YOU SERVE BREAKFAST?
​
No, we don't serve breakfast at our place. But don't worry, we offer pantry staples in your unit to make your breakfast! We believe in giving you the privacy and freedom to come and go as you please. Plus, we love supporting our local community!
Take McKittrick Rd. (back gravel road) to Loutre Market for supplies if going to Hermann is not in your plans. And in Hermann, there are fantastic places to grab a bite to eat. In Hermann, you'll find two cozy coffee shops, a friendly spot or two serving breakfast, and some amazing spots for brunch on the weekends. Want to know more? WHERE DO I PARK?
We've got parking just for our guests! You'll find it on the side of the building next to the big grey service door. To be fair to everyone, we kindly request that each group of 4 guests bring no more than 2 cars since parking space is limited. If you're exploring the Katy Trail on bikes, don't worry! We've got secure bike storage outside in the big barn shed behind the building to keep your wheels safe.

WHO ARE YOU AND WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED EXACTLY?

Our cozy spot is nestled in the Village of McKittrick and is currently a postal annex of Hermann, Missouri (65041). It's just a hop and a skip over the river from Downtown Hermann, only 2 miles away! See map. Connected right next to us is the Katy Trail State Park Trailhead at mile marker 100.8. McKittrick is steeped in history, especially with its connection to the MKT railroad. Our building, The Mercantile on the Katy Trail, has been standing tall since around 1897 and is proudly listed as a historic landmark on both the State and National Register.

Each suite features two comfortable queen beds in a semi-private room, giving you the feel of a deluxe hotel suite. BEST TIME TO VISIT HERMANN, MISSOURI?
​
It all comes down to what kind of experience you're looking for! If you're craving excitement and lively vibes, weekends are the way to go. That's when the town is bustling with tourists, live music fills the wineries, and you might even stumble upon a fun festival. But if you're after a serene and peaceful Hermann, we suggest planning your visit for Wednesday or Thursday nights. Mondays and Tuesdays are the quietest, with some restaurants taking a break. Don't worry though, the wineries are open every day, so you can still enjoy some tastings and tours. Just keep in mind that your dining options might be a tad limited. DO YOU OFFER ROOM BLOCKS?

We don't have the traditional room blocks for events because we're a small property with only 4 suites. But don't worry! We have something even better for groups: a full property buyout option. This means you can have the whole place to yourselves! If this option is available, you'll see it in the Booking Portal! Just select it like you would a regular booking.
